Thirteenth Freiburg edition, single track, 300 people, in the Historic Merchants' Hall.

Smashing Magazine's home-town conference for front-end developers and designers, covering design systems, AI tooling, accessibility, CSS and animation. Four days: one pre-day, two conference days and two workshop days with six deep-dive workshops. Single track, twelve speakers, about 300 attendees, and an online ticket if you cannot travel.

Paris Web 2026

Twenty-first edition of the French-language web conference, and the only one that signs every talk live.

Two days of talks and workshops for francophone web professionals, weighted heavily towards accessibility, inclusive design and web standards rather than framework news. Every session is interpreted into French sign language in full and in real time, which no other European web event does. Sessions run 30 or 50 minutes; workshops 90 or 180.

React Alicante 2026

Spain's international React and React Native conference, workshops on the Thursday.

An English-language React and React Native conference at the Palacio de Congresos in Alicante: workshops on Thursday 24 September, then two conference days. Programme this year leans into what comes after React as much as React itself, plus the Node.js tooling shake-up. One of the few large frontend fixtures in Spain and the reason the Spanish cell in this index is not empty.

beyond tellerrand Düsseldorf 2027

Two days where web development sits next to design, illustration and craft.

Marc Thiele's long-running Düsseldorf event, single track over two days, mixing front-end and web-platform talks with design, typography and creative work that is not obviously about the web at all. It is the deliberate breadth that people come back for rather than framework coverage.

JSNation 2027

GitNation's main JavaScript conference, Amsterdam, five days including workshops.

The general-purpose JavaScript conference in the GitNation stable, distinct from React Summit which runs the same week in the same city. Main conference talks plus in-depth workshops, discussion rooms and a remote track. If you are travelling to Amsterdam in May 2027, the two events are designed to be attended together.

React Summit 2027

Two tracks, 60-plus speakers, in-person on 21 May and remote on 25 May.

GitNation's React conference in Amsterdam, split across a Base Camp and a Summit track, with an interactive remote day four days later including hybrid speaker Q&A and online workshops. Around 1,500 people attend in Amsterdam out of a much larger online audience. Two smaller co-located events run the day before: Tech Lead Conf and Web Engineering Summit.
